Client Work

• Shivani represents several international clients who own well-known and famous marks in India in the following fields: the FMCG Industry, Sports, Banking & Insurance, Computers, Auto Parts, Broadcasting, Beverages & Liquors, Logistics & Statistics, Publishing houses, Educational Services.
• Shivani also works closely with Indian photographers and is trying to evolve the (Indian) copyright laws to suit the needs of this creative industry.
• Shivani also supervises global trademark and copyright portfolios for several clients and provides advice concerning brand management strategies.
• Additionally, her work also consists of protecting the clients' copyrights and trademark rights through enforcement actions, searches, seizures and litigation.

Papers and Teaching

• Shivani has published two papers on the 'Madrid Protocol' and on 'Data Exclusivity' emphasising the need for India to be fully TRIPS-compliant.
• Shivani is also a regular visiting faculty at a premier law school in New Delhi and teaches Copyrights, Trademarks, Designs and Geographical Indications.

International Affiliations

• INTA: Shivani is a regular attendee at the International Trademarks Association (INTA) Annual Meetings.
• APAA: Shivani is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association and was an elected executive member of the Indian Group for 2 years.
• AOTS: Shivani is an Aumni of the prestigious Association of Overseas Technical Scholarship, Japan
